Till you drop dead!!!!

"The Fighter" Gym Class Heroes
(feat. Ryan Tedder)

Gonna live life 'til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then they'll say to me, say to me, say to me
There goes the fighter, there goes the fighter
Here comes the fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me, say to me,
This one's a fighter

I just love the way this song begins!!! The lyrics just make you want to go out and give life a big punch in the face even  with all the blows it throws out to you,but....these are just words.Who in their normal mind would want to get beaten up????Hardest to fulfill than it is to just listen and feel like you can make it even when you get so scarred from all them punches. The words always take me to a movie scene when the hero keeps taking blows and somehow  someway, inevitably rises up every time they fall.
Give me scars give me pain..that's one tough fighter!!!I woke up today, tired as can be,hoping today would just fly away and leave me alone or rather give me more time in bed to recover from the fatigue,,but nope!!The day had to rub itself in my face once i saw my class timetable.(And for reasons not to be discussed on this blog,i will not elaborate on that timetable )I had a class i had to face, and this was not going to be easy,so i needed to come up with a song to get  me through that class( even the mere thought of that class just makes me replay it in my head)...in my effort to live life lyrically in every situation,i came up with these few words:
There will be countless times when i will have to face life's blows,i will not want to  but with a fighter's attitude, the scars will only seem like a few scratches and the pain will only feel like lik e a step closer to victory!!!Gonna live life till we're dead!!!

"The Fighter"
(feat. Ryan Tedder)

Just waking up in the morning
And to be well,
Quite honest with ya,
I ain't really sleep well
Ya ever feel like your train of thought's been derailed?
That's when you press on - Lee nails
Half the population's just waitin to see me fail
Yeah right, you're better off trying to freeze hell
Some of us do it for the females
And others do it for the retail

But I do it for the kids, life threw the towel in on
Every time you fall it's only making your chin strong
And I'll be in your corner like Mick, baby, 'til the end
Or when you hear a song from that big lady

[Bridge]
Until the referee rings the bell
Until both your eyes start to swell
Until the crowd goes home
What we gonna do ya'll?

[Chorus - Ryan Tedder]
Give em hell, turn their heads
Gonna live life 'til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then they'll say to me, say to me, say to me
There goes the fighter, there goes the fighter
Here comes the fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me, say to me,
This one's a fighter

[Verse 2]
And if I can last thirty rounds
There's no reason you should ever have your head down
Six foot five, two hundred and twenty pounds
Hailing from rock bottom, loserville, nothing town

Text book version of a kid going nowhere fast
And now I'm yelling, "Kiss my ass"
It's gonna take a couple right hooks, a few left jabs
For you to recognize you really ain't got it bad

[Bridge]
Until the referee rings the bell
Until both your eyes start to swell
Until the crowd goes home
What we gonna do ya'll?

[Chorus - Ryan Tedder]
Give em hell, turn their heads
Gonna live life 'til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then they'll say to me, say to me, say to me
There goes the fighter, there goes the fighter
Here comes the fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me, say to me,
This one's a fighter

Everybody put yo hands up
What we gonna do (hey!) [x4] y'all?
What we gonna do (hey!) [x3] y'all?

If you fall pick yourself up off the floor (get up)
And when your bones can't take no more (c'mon)
Just remember what you're here for
Cuz I know Imma damn sure

Give em hell, turn their heads
Gonna live life 'til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then they'll say to me, say to me, say to me
There goes the fighter, there goes the fighter
Here comes the fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me, say to me,
This one's a fighter

'Til the referee rings the bell
'Til both ya eyes start to swell
'Til the crowd goes home,
What we gonna do kid?

The Man That Made Me Believe In Impossibilities

How do I write about a man whose loud presence can’t be ignored? How do I begin to describe a man whose life should be written down in volumes of books, a man whose battles and achievements could literally make you wonder why you have never tried out that daredevil in you? A man whose blind faith and roaring spirit will leave you believing that anything is possible, as long as you just do it! I have never written down anything much about my father, mostly because words won’t do him justice and because you need to experience him to actually know who he is. He is tough, he is loud, he is sharp and witty, he never gives up and he is simply my papa. I know I will never get it right when it comes to the adjectives that could describe papa, mostly because he is more than words. He’s the man who’s taught me to live in the moment, because we can’t really trust the future. A man who’s taught me to be witty, because sometimes you have to outdo the book smarts to survive. A man who’s ta...

The good, the bad the ugly…the beautiful years of my life!

Happy new year!!!Two weeks down the line, and I still can’t predict how my 2013 will go down. I bet that’s the exciting part about new years( except from the annoying fact that I still   keep writing down the dates as 2012). Took me a while to write my first 2013 post, mostly cause I   had a cliché   idea of writing something about fresh starts, but I won’t take that turn.New year means a lot of things not just new beginnings, it’s also about rolling with the days as they come even when everything seems to stay the same, year in year out. Above all I can’t deny the fact that am alive, who knows what could have happened and nothing makes my heart more grateful   to my God for that blessing. So my first post this year is a lyrical piece written and   dedicated to my 2012 memories and 2013 ‘s unpredictable events. Two decades, that’s how long    I waited for you… If I could wait this long, then what could   possibly go wrong? I knew so...

Start Acting, Stop Typing

June, how I've waited for you! 23 days down with  30 minutes to spew out my thoughts to the world. Here we go... I never like to talk about my life in here, instead I only add the bits I feel would implicate me less in this era of  'hey guys, welcome to my channel'. As much as I want to keep things mysterious to spice up my online persona, I feel like a lot can go wrong with an audience that hides behind screens. I would rather take my chances on being as evasive as possible. Yes, I'm admitting  to my cowardice.  However, I will defend my stance by saying that whatever thoughts I type in here, are rarely inspired by my own life. Rather, they have everything to do with how I perceive the world (people/places/things/ANYTHING)  around me. That's the inspiration. What I hide  is under lock and key in  a mind vault labelled "PRIVATE, for Yvette's crazy thoughts only". The world around me and how I would like to change it through the words I share is wh...
